Just In: TDP’s Pattabhi gets bail

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted bail to TDP leader Pattabhi Ram who was arrested by the police for making provocative comments against CM YS Jagan. However, before granting the bail, the police made strong arguments opposing the bail.

The Police added that Pattabhi’s comments have disturbed the law & order in the state and if gets bail, there are high chances of committing the same mistake. The police also produced the notices issued under section 41A by a lower court to the High Court. Taking these notices into cognisance, the High Court also heard the arguments of Pattabhi’s advocate.

Finally the verdict went in favour of the TDP leader. Pattabhi is currently in Rajahmundry central jail but he is likely to remain behind the bars for the weekend. The bail orders might take some time. With Pattabhi getting bail, TDP leaders were relieved.

Earlier Pattabhi booked under IPC section 153(M), 505(2), 353, 504 read with Section 120B. He was arrested on October 21st night after YCP activists attacked the TDP office in Mangalagiri.
