The other day TRS minister Niranjan Reddy made controversial comments against YS Sharmila who is doing a Paadayatra in Telangana. Apparently Niranjan Reddy called Sharmila, ‘Mangalavaaram Marudalu’ and this did not go down well.
After an uproar the TRS minister clarified his remarks and tried to walk out of the issue by saying he did not take out the name of Sharmila. “I did not mention anyone’s name in my comments and did not use any offensive language. But if anyone feels that they are hurt, I regret my comments,” said Niranjan Reddy and he was very diplomatic.
But the TRS minister found fault with Sharmila for her comments against CM KCR. “I condemn Sharmila’s comments on the TRS government and CM KCR. She should at least respect KCR’s age and stop using singular language,” added Niranjan Reddy.
Concluding, the minister added that the TRS cadre will reply to Sharmila at an appropriate time.
