Huzurabad & Badvel: BJP & YCP Take Initial Lead

The counting for Huzurabad by-election commenced this morning at 8 AM and the officials informed that two rounds of counting have been completed. After the first round BJP has secured a marginal lead with 166 votes.

BJP’s Etala received 4610 votes while TRS’ Gellu Srinivas Yadav received 4444 votes. However, an independent candidate with ‘Roti Maker’ voting symbol received 122 votes and similarly a diamond symbol is doing the damage for the Lotus votes. Congress is nowhere near in this competition as their candidate received just 119 votes.

And after the second round of counting BJP’s Etala secured 192 votes lead against TRS candidate while the total lead is 358 votes. After the second round the total votes polled for Etala is 9461 while Gellu secured 9103 votes.

At Badvel, the polling appears to be one-sided. YCP’s Dasari Sudha is with a lead of over 32,000 votes over BJP candidate Suresh. After round four, YCP candidate secured 41,099 votes while BJP got 8504 votes and Congress received 2305 votes.
