Watch: TRS Candidate Gellu Breaks Into Tears

The TRS lost the Huzurabad by-election battle and ex minister Etala Rajender retained his seat with a majority of 23,000 votes. After the final round, the total votes polled for Etala are 1,01,732 while TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav secured 78,997 votes.

This result did not disappoint the ruling party of Telangana much but the candidate was deeply hurt. Yes, Gellu was so upset with the result that he broke down into tears at the counting centre.

Apparently Gellu learned that he is losing after the ninth round of counting. He walked out of the counting centre and tears started rolling out of his eyes. Visuals of Gellu weeping are shared on social media and the TRS cadre is kind of saddened by the result.

Gellu Srinivas Yadav is one of the genuine leaders from the Telangana agitation. But somehow he could not cross the line of victory over the mighty Etala who represented Huzurabad six consecutive times.
