cornavirus
This comes as a shocker from Wyra town in Khammam district where 29 students from government residential school and junior college for girls have tested positive for Covid-19, triggering huge pain among parents and officials as well. After finding that two students are showcasing covid symptoms, school authorities conducted tests on all the students and this is the result.
Despite many warnings, the government went ahead with the plan of re-opening schools from September 1st and this is the first time that such many students have tested positive. According to District Medical Officer Malathi, all the positive tested students were doing fine and sent to their respective homes for better quarantine. All other students who tested negative were also taking respective measures, and doing well at the moment. However, parents are upset with the authorities that they have informed them quite late about the happening.
Parents allege that overcrowding at the school’s hostel, as nearly 450+ students, are stuffed into a meagre 16 rooms, forcing almost 40 students per room has resulted in the spreading of coronavirus. Actually, all the educational institutions in Telangana were re-opened from September 1st but residential schools (hostels) are allowed to open in the last week of October after authorities assured Court that all the preventive measures will be taken first. And now, this happened.
