VSR Bhoo Swaha In Vizag, Alleges RRR

YCP rebel and Narasapuram MP K. Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju slammed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy yet again for planning to sell off government lands in the state left, right and centre. The MP said that Jagan was informed of 7,780 acres belonging to the irrigation department in Vijayawada, which could be sold off by the government. Now, he is trying to sell off the same under the Jagananna Bhoom Phat scheme, he criticized.

RRR urged Jagan to stop the indiscriminate sale of government lands just to buy votes. “Jagan will never take up development works in the state instead, sell off the precious government lands, belonging to the public, for his vested interests,” he pointed out.

He lamented that the YCP government was taking loans and planning to sell off government lands not for any development works but embezzling the funds. The government is collecting large amount of money in the form of taxes but yet not able to meet the expenses, he said and added that it was not fair on the part of the government to sell away lands under ‘Sthala Yagnam’.

The YCP rebel also revealed of another land scam orchestrated by their party MP V. Vijayasai Reddy (VSR) in Vizag. He said that a Jana Senani from Vizag informed him about this scam.

Former Chief Minister late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy earmarked 15 acres of Konda Porambok land in Vizag for a scheme aimed at benefiting the elderly. He envisioned using 10% of the total 15 acres to build an old age home and an orphanage and sell off the remaining by planning a layout, specially for the elderly belonging to middle and higher class.

That project did not take off due to some issues and now, VSR has distributed the same land among the YCP MPs, MLAs and ministers, with each of them getting 1,000-1500 square yard plots. RRR also revealed that the 15 acres located in urban area was converted into agriculture land by illegal means paying ‘nala tax’ to enable distribution of the same among the political leaders, under the VSR Bhoo Swaha scheme.

He urged the Chief Minister to probe into the issue and check the illegal distribution of land in Vizag, touted to become the executive capital of the state very soon.
