Chowdary Is Confident On Amaravati!

The YSRCP government has introduced the bill to move Andhra Pradesh capital from Amaravati to Vizag twice. After the Legislative council stalling the bill for the first time, in the recently concluded budget sessions, YCP government initiated the bill once again. Yet there is no change in the situation and bill got stuck one more time.

On other hand, many government offices are getting ready in Vizag to make it as Executive Capital while Amaravati will remain as a Legislative Capital just for name sake. Thanks to the Covid-19, if not the Jagan government would have shifted everything to Vizag by now. Once the crisis ends, certainly the shifting will happen without any doubt.

Even though the Jagan government is hell bent on capital shift, the farmers and people of Amaravati are protesting continuously. On Saturday their protest has reached 200th day and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary has reacted on the capital row.

Taking to his twitter, Sujana tweeted that AP capital from Amaravati will not move an inch. Adding more, Sujana said BJP has earlier made a resolution to keep Amaravati as capital and this is no change in the stand of the saffron party. The Centre will react on this row at any appropriate time.

Well this is an old statement and Sujana has been saying this ever since Jagan broke the ice about ‘Three Capitals’ in December 2019. On the contrary another BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao said that the Centre will not intervene in AP capital row and this means Sujana’s comments may not go in the form of action.
