Jagan To Send Ali To Rajya Sabha?

Just before the general elections in 2019, comedian Ali joined the YSR Congress party. Many believed that Ali would get a ticket for the Assembly elections and there were also reports that he would be made a minister. Ali expressed his willingness to contest the elections but things did not go that way and the latest is that Ali would get a big opportunity from AP CM YS Jagan.

Ali was part of today’s Tollywood delegation led by Megastar Chiranjeevi who met CM Jagan on issues pertaining to the film industry. After the meeting concluded, Jagan called Ali and told him personally that they would meet again after a week. Well Ali was a bit surprised but he learned that Jagan is considering him to be sent to Rajya Sabha.

In July this year, the Upper House will see four vacant seats and Jagan is planning to give one seat to the minority community and regarding the same, there is a wide debate in the YCP too. As Ali hails from Muslim community, Jagan wants to offer the Rajya Sabha ticket to the Telugu actor.

It’s been almost three years that Ali had joined YCP and he did not get the due recognition he deserved. He persistently waited and CM Jagan seems to have finally acknowledged the actor’s presence in the party.

Also it’s been a while that a Telugu actor had represented the Rajya Sabha and Ali might become the first actor from the industry to get such an opportunity from YCP as most of them are inclined towards Telugu Desam.
