The other day AP CM YS Jagan Reddy’s government shocked Gautam Sawang (CM Jagan used to call him Sawang Anna) by removing him from the Director General of Police (DGP) post. That was an unexpected move and even the ruling party leaders did not expect it to happen.
The AP government asked Gautam Sawang to report at the General Administration Department (GAD) until further posting. There were reports that Gautam Sawang is likely to shift his base to New Delhi on government of India deputation. But in a surprise CM Jagan showed some mercy on Gautam Sawang and offered him a fresh posting.
The former DGP has been appointed as the chairman of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) and Gautam Sawang is expected to take charge in a day or two. At APPSC, Gautam Sawang might be having a tough time because the state government is not releasing any fresh notifications from the unemployed.
From the head of the police department to the chairman of a lifeless entity, Gautam Sawang witnessed a great fall.
