I Waited 12 Years For This Success: Siddhu Jonnalagadda

Siddhu Jonnalagadda won accolades for his performance in Guntur Talkies which turned out to be a commercial hit. However, he didn’t attain another solid hit after that. His last two movies Krishna And His Leela, Maa Vintha Gadha Vinuma were released on OTT and were received well. Nonetheless, Siddhu is on cloud nine with the blockbuster success of DJ Tillu which is running successfully in theatres.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda said, “The pen and its power has won today. It was not always the same earlier. We boys went through tough times to make you laugh. I waited 12 years for this evening. Guntur Talkies was released 12 years ago. Although the movie was a hit, I didn’t get the break like Vijay Deverakonda got after Pelli Choopulu and Adivi Sesh got after the release of Kshanam.

I asked one of my friends to promote me on media. I then decided one thing on that day that if you cannot get someone to write news about you, what do you do? You become the news. Krishna And His Leela, Maa Vintha Gadha Vinuma got decent response. DJ Tillu came and has become a blockbuster.”

DJ Tillu has already entered profit zone in all the territories. Producer Naga Vamsi and team has been promoting the movie in a grand way to cash in the blockbuster talk it received after release.
