Jagan Waiting For KCR’s Call?

The Telugu states have set their eyes on national politics and everyone is keenly looking at the Assembly elections of UP, Punjab and Uttarakhand which will kind of prove the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After winning two successive elections, PM Modi made no attempts to resolve the matters pertaining to the Telugu states. With issues and Bifurcation Act pending, both Andhra and Telangana have lost immensely in the last eight years.

Upset with this step-motherly treatment, Telangana CM KCR raised a fight against PM Modi led BJP government. He is talking and gathering the support of all non-BJP allies and is racing with his strategies. KCR is expected to meet Uddhav Thackeray and a few more leaders in the coming days.

What is the fate of AP, a state which lost immensely due to bifurcation and is going through hard times. AP CM YS Jagan did not utter a word on ‘Third Front’ so far. Will Jagan walk with KCR and the ‘Third Front? Will Jagan fight against Modi sarkar? Though answers to these questions are difficult to trace, AP has to wake up. PM Modi has done grave injustice to Andhra by snubbing ‘Special Status’ and recently they have stopped funding for Polavaram dam construction which is the lifeline of Andhra.

Under these circumstances, there is a necessity for Jagan to pitch his voice against the government in Delhi. Without any second thought the bifurcation issues are going to play a significant role in the next general elections and Jagan has to act quickly to corner the BJP.

KCR is also looking at Jagan because he is the only option from Andhra. With rivalry KCR has with TDP chief Chandrababu, there are less chances of getting TDP on board and the other party in AP is Jana Sena. Pawan Kalyan has already forged an alliance with BJP and so Jagan is the only for KCR to really consider for the ‘Third Front.’

But Jagan is undecided on whom to support. He will never work with Congress for obvious reasons and now is unsure about ‘Third Front’ and the only thing he is comfortable with is Modi. Jagan will at least get a chance to meet Modi and request for help just in case.

If at all the so-called ‘Third Front’ really emerges as a major force yet needs the support of a big regional party, Jagan can come in handy and he can be a gamechanger. Jagan with his MPs can demand for ‘Special Status’ to AP and it would be once in a lifetime opportunity.

All these assumptions highly depend upon the unity among regional parties which are really serious to dethrone Modi from Delhi. Political observers believe that there are high chances of big developments in the coming elections.
