Today, Vijayawada Mayor Rayana Bhagya Lakshmi takes everyone to utter surprise after she writes a letter to cinema theatres in the city requesting allotment of 100 tickets for each show to the Honourable Mayor’s Chamber for Prabhas and Pooja Hegde-starrer Radhe Shyam movie. The film has been released today, on 11 March.
The letter went super viral on social media platforms and left netizens questioning her ignorance. In the letter, it is stated that the party representatives and corporators are requesting tickets for new movie releases. In this regard, the mayor’s office has requested the theatre management to reserve 100 tickets for each show to the VMC at any cost.
From the next new movie releases, the procedure needs to be followed without fail. Later, the officials admitted that a letter was indeed written by the Mayor to reputed multiplex management for movie tickets of Radhe Shyam movie. They also added that the office will pay the amount for the tickets. This leaves the theatre management in the city in shock.
Also, the move by the Mayor certainly tickled our funny bone and netizens demanded an answer if she really knows how to do politics. Along with the unintentional humour, the Mayor also left her own party members embarrassed over the frivolous letter.
