The national and Telugu states politics are revolving around one man and he is political strategist Prashant Kishor. A few moments back he announced that he declined to take up the offer by the Congress party because the party had placed some serious conditions before PK.
The conditions laid by Congress include PK staying away from working with TRS in Telangana and YCP in Andhra in the next elections. With PK not joining Congress, he is sure to work with KCR’s party but in AP, his services are not required anymore.
Confirming the same, advisor to CM Jagan, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that they are not going to use the services of Prashant Kishor in the 2024 elections. “The contract with Prashant Kishor and IPAC concluded with the 2019 elections and we might not work with the core team of PK’s. But we shall utilise the third party services,” said Sajjala.
Having said that, it would be one hell of a task for YCP in the next general elections. PK played a huge role in bringing YCP to power and he designed the entire political campaign for YCP in the 2019 elections. Jagan and YCP leaders blindly followed whatever PK had summoned and it paid in the elections.
For the 2024 elections, the scenario is going to be different. There is a negative wave against Jagan in AP and he needs to beat the anti-incumbency against his government. Many of CM Jagan’s decisions in the recent past were made in view of 2024 elections and this time, Jagan shoulder the party in the elections.
