#MannerlessCM Is Trending On Twitter

The BJP Delhi unit came down heavily on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after he was caught on camera slouching on the chair during a meeting presided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Covid-19 conditions in the country. The party leaders criticised his body language at the meeting and said that Kejriwal has no manners.

The BJP leaders shared a video snippet and also put up his pictures on Twitter and called him “Mannerless CM of Delhi. In the video, it appeared as though Kejriwal was disinterested in the proceedings of the meet when Modi interacted via video conference.

Kejriwal was also seen stretching his arms as Modi spoke on the increasing fuel prices in states ruled by non-BJP parties.

Reportedly, there has been no public response yet from either Kejriwal or his party, AAP, on the BJP’s attack.

The 19-second video clip shared by BJP also showed Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh and AP Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In the video conference, Modi told the CMs and other higher officials to be cautious with regard to Covid-19 as the pandemic was not over yet. He also told the CMs to give priority to vaccination of children at the earliest, and suggested that they take up special drives in schools.

In the same meet, Modi also spoke about the increasing petrol and diesel prices and urged all states to reduce VAT on fuels. He urged for Centre-state cooperation in the current war situation as the country is facing several challenges due to disruption in the supply chain.

Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao raised the same point during the TRS plenary and slammed Modi for it. KCR questioned how could the Centre adopt double standards. On one hand, the Centre increases prices but asks the states to cut down the cess on fuels, KCR pointed out.

Taking up the names of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana, where the BJP is not the ruling party, Modi said it was “injustice” to the people living in those states and appealed to them to reduce VAT on fuel prices in “national interest”.
