Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is known for making comedies and cop films. His cop films like the Singham series, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi had been money-spinners at the box office. Rohit is currently helming a web series called ‘Indian Police Force’ for Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, the star director has announced yet another cop film. He will be soon making a movie based on the life of former IPS officer, Rakesh Maria, who is known for many anti-terrorist missions.
Rohit Shetty has officially announced the news by sharing a picture of himself clicked with Rakesh Maria. “From solving the 93 Mumbai blast case, fearlessly facing the Mumbai underworld during the late 90s to interrogating the lone surviving terrorist, Ajmal Kasab & standing strong for his city during the 26/11 attacks…” he wrote along with the photo.
“Rakesh Maria has been a name synonymous with courage and valour! Feel honored to be bringing this real-life super cop’s journey to screen!!!” he further added.
The film will be based on Rakesh Maria’s career experiences. The cast and crew of this project are expected to be announced soon.
