Osmania Buzzing With Rahul’s Craze

Osmania University, a place that needs no introduction. For the Telangana separate state movement, the university was like a fuel and the agitation of students can never be forgotten. Post bifurcation, Osmania University is maintaining a low profile but all of a sudden this place is buzzing with Rahul Gandhi’s name.

The Congress leader will be visiting Telangana this week and he will take part in a massive public gathering on 6th of May in Warangal. RaGa’s public meeting is going to be a consultation target for farmers’ problems, solutions, and families of farmers who have committed suicide.

But RaGa’s interaction session with students and unemployed youth is making a lot of noise. Apparently this was supposed to be held in Osmania University but the university authority rejected the permission citing political affiliation of RaGa. With that the matter became somewhat controversial. A war of words is raging between TRS-Congress leaders over Rahul’s refusal to enter the Osmania University campus.

Post Warangal meeting, what is Rahul Gandhi going to do in Telangana? The T-Congress leaders are stubborn to organise an interaction session between RaGa and students, unemployed and so they are trying everything in their hand. It is unknown at this point of time what RaGa and it is being propagated that the meeting of Congress leaders is being kept strategically secret. T-Congress suspects that the TRS government’s intention was not to let students and the unemployed meet RaGa.

Otherwise, Rahul’s meeting with students and the unemployed will hardly have any impact on the TRS government. With restrictions from KCR sarkar, the interest in Rahul’s visit is growing. RaGa’s session would not have garnered much interest if the Osmania university authorities had granted permission as soon as it was applied. The session would have progressed accusing and criticizing the TRS government and it would have been routine stuff.

Anonymity is mounting that the TRS government is inadvertently creating an unprecedented craze for the Rahul interaction session with students. With T-Congress being persistent in holding this event, we shall see what happens.
