Jagan’s Scheme Gets International recognition!

In a big boost to the AP CM YS Jagan Reddy led YCP government, an international recognition is on its way for Rythu Bharosa Kendram – RBK [Farmer Assurance Centers] which is one of the flagship schemes of CM Jagan.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, holds Champion and Partnership Awards every year and the government of India has nominated the RBK scheme for this year’s award.

RBK is a one stop platform for farmers. From seeds to selling the crop, RBK have played a huge role in bringing dynamic changes in the agriculture sector. As many as 10,778 RBKs have been set up at the village level affiliated to the secretariats in the state as per Chief Minister Jagan’s directions. RBK’s main motive is to resolve and take farming products to the forefront of the farmers.

Apart from seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, farmers are being provided all quality produce and they can also buy the crop through RBKs, which have become hubs of knowledge. Many national and international organizations have visited RBKs and appreciated their services. To get nominated for the prestigious FAO Award is a rare honour.

RBKs have been a role model, serving at the village level in Andhra Pradesh for two years and the GoI nominated this flagship scheme for FAO awards. The FAO aims to provide quality nutrition through ‘Food Security – 2030’ to enable human beings around the world to live active and healthy lives.

FAO recognises governments and organisations that work to transform agri-food systems with a consistent development agenda. The award carries a cash prize of US $ 50,000.
