Y.S. Konda Reddy Arrested On Jagan’s orders

YCP leader and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s kin Y.S. Konda Reddy was arrested in Kadapa district on charges of threatening a construction company, belonging to a BJP leader of neighbouring Karnataka, which took up the road works in the area. Konda Reddy demanded money for allowing the company develop the Vempalli-Rayachoti road in Kadapa district of Pulivendula constituency, the native of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

It is learnt that the BJP leader took up the issue with Jagan Mohan Reddy following which the Kadapa police were asked to take serious action. Accordingly, the police registered a case and arrested Konda Reddy.

Kadapa SP KK Anburajan said that Konda Reddy’s call data showed that he made several calls to the company in the last few days. On May 5, he called the contractor and demanded bribe. Else, he threatened to get the works stalled, the SP added.

Reacting to the arrest, TDP women’s wing leader Anitha Vangalapudi tweeted: “Can the surname YS be construed as open licence to threats and goondaism..”

Meanwhile, some other TDP leaders said that Konda Reddy might have been unaware of the deal between Jagan and the BJP leader due to which he got into trouble.

“This could be ‘family welfare’ as part of which Jagan’s relatives are also involved in the illegal activities to make money,” said a BJP leader.

However, the YCP leaders are hailing their party boss for not forgetting justice even when it meant punishing his own relatives.
“In that case, will strict action be initiated against Y.S. Avinash Reddy too, for being involved in brutal murder of Jagan’s uncle Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy,” asked a TDP sympathizer.
