Bihar BJP MLA and folk singer Maithili Thakur declared movable assets of around ₹2.32 crore in her 2025 election affidavit, which includes a Honda Activa.

She also reported immovable assets of about ₹1.5 crore and gold worth ₹53 lakh. The total assets are around ₹3.8-4 crore, and no luxury vehicles are listed.

However, she arrived at the famous Lalbaugcha Ganesh procession in Mumbai in a high end luxury car. She arrived in a Rolls-Royce vehicle that reportedly costs more than ₹13 crore in India after all the taxes and customs.

People on social media are absolutely surprised and shocked by this development as this female MLA, who declared very few assets before the election has now turned up in a Rolls-Royce.

The ownership of this car has not been established, and it might not necessarily belong to the MLA. But her arrival in this high end, luxury car has created a lot of discussion about the possible political gains she might have amassed.
