Why Should India Apologise For BJP’s Bigots?

The comments by BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal against Prophet Muhammed have invited huge fury from the Gulf nations. Though BJP as a party has suspended both the leaders, many middle-east nations are summoning the Indian ambassadors and are expressing extreme discontent with the remarks.

Not just from the other nations, BJP is being slammed by the opposition here. TRS working president KTR lashed out at BJP and shot a straight question to PM Narendra Modi. “Why should India as a country apologise to international community for the hate speeches of BJP bigots?” questioned KTR.

The TRS leader analysed that this is a tactic of BJP and cited the example of BJP MP Pragya Singh who hailed Nathuram Godse who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi. “It is BJP that should apologise; not India as a Nation. Your party should first apologise to Indians at home for spewing & spreading hatred day in day out,” added KTR.

KTR is taking every opportunity to corner BJP whenever the party finds itself on the wrong foot. The latest counter falls in the same space but TRS needs more strong issues to deal with the BJP especially in Telangana amidst the growing prominence of the party in the state.
