Andhra Pradesh has reported a record number of Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The state today reported 10,093 positive cases and 65 new deaths thus taking the total number of cases to 1,20,390 and the death tally touched 1213.
In the past 24 hours, 2784 have been recovered and discharged. While 55,406 Covid patients have been recovered so far, the total active cases as on today stand at 63,771.
AP claims to have done 18,20,009 number of tests so far. In the last 24 hours, the state tested 70,584 samples of which VRDL,Truenat and NACO tests account for 33,385 and Rapid Antigen tests account for 37,199.
On the whole, the highest number of Covid cases in AP is reported in East Godavari (17,739), followed by Kurnool (14,471), Guntur (12,816), Anantapur (12,358) and West Godavari (10,356) districts. These five districts are the top contributors to the state’s overall cases.
