After the landmark verdict by the Supreme Court of India in the decades pending case of Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government hurried up things to lay the foundation stone for the Ram Mandir. Accordingly the date was fixed on August 5th.
In a big hurdle to these massive plans of BJP, an assistant to the prime priest and about 14 police officials who are working as security near the present temple have tested positive of Covid-19. This has alerted the officials of Ayodhya and there are doubts whether the foundation stone will be laid as per the date fixed.
To this ceremony, PM Narendra Modi, RSS leaders and many other religious guests were invited. However, a decision on the event is yet to be taken.
