Good Day For BJP & YSRCP – Vijaya Sai Reddy

Vijay Sai Reddy

YSRCP’s national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vijaya Sai Reddy has described it as “Good Day” for BJP and YSRCP. This is following the results of the by-elections across the country. BJP won the Lok Sabha seats in UP that were vacated by SP’s Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan.

Tripura CM Manik Saha has won the crucial by-election from the Town Bardowali seat. BJP won 3 out of 4 seats in Tripura by-election. Aam Aadmi Party has lost Lok Sabha seat in Punjab bypoll which was vacated by AAP’s Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann who won as MLA in state Assembly election. With this, AAP is now zero in Lok Sabha. Shiromani Akali Dal defeated the AAP candidate.

YSRCP won with a thumping majority in Atmakur by-election as its candidate Mekapati Vikram Reddy won against BJP candidate in a nominal fight. So, Samajwadi Party and AAP are the losers in the by-election. While BJP, Shiromani Akali Dal, YSRCP became winners.

“BJP has wrested both Samajwadi Party LS seats vacated by Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan. Their Tripura CM won and AAP has lost Bhagwant Mann’s LS seat. Basically, it was a bad day for Samajwadi Party & AAP and very good day for BJP and YSRCP,” tweeted Vijay Sai Reddy.

Meanwhile, the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra has lost the majority in the house. Uddhav-led MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) alliance government which included Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress fell below the majority in the house with rebel Eknath Shinde-led Sena withdrawing support of 38 rebel MLAs. This is a huge setback to Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP and BJP is eventually trying to gain advantage of this.

On the whole, it is indeed a good day for BJP. BJP is hoping that this Maharashtra crisis would also help the NDA in presidential polls. BJP is confident that Shinde camp would support NDA’s Droupadi Murmur in the President election against Opposition’s candidate Yashwant Sinha who filed nomination today. All these indicate it is a good day for BJP. YSRCP which is completely supporting NDA considered it as good day for both BJP and YSRCP.
