Vijayamma Quits YSRCP, Says Sharmila Needs Her

As predicted YS Vijayamma has announced that she is stepping down from the role of Honourary President of YSR Congress party. The YCP Plenary sessions commenced on Friday in Guntur and Vijayamma got the opportunity to address the gathering.

In fact Vijayamma’s speech is highly anticipated and speaking she said, “As YSR kids, both Jagan and Sharmila have taken up public life. In AP, Jagan as CM is doing remarkable work and I’m pretty sure that he will retain the government in the next elections. Sharmila is doing a lone battle in Telangana and she will continue with her pursuit,” said Vijayamma.

On differences between Jagan and Sharmila, Vijayamma was diplomatic. “A few media channels are questioning my position as YSRCP Honourary President and simultaneously supporting Sharmila’s political endeavors. As a mother I have all the rights to wish for my kids that they should excel in whatever paths they take. I have no clue what ignited them to take different paths but I believe that this is God’s will and he will bless both my children,” said Vijayamma.

And finally Vijayamma tendered resignation. “When Jagan was in deep trouble I gave all the moral support and now he is the CM and he is doing an efficient job. But in Telangana, Sharmila needs my support which is the need of the hour. Since my position is questioned here, I would like to step down from my role in YSRCP. I apologize to all YCP activists and cadre but it is inevitable,” said Vijayamma.

Vijayamma was hopeful that one day Sharmila would represent Telangana and Jagan would for AP and together they would work on the problems being faced by the Telugu states.
