You Don’t Mess With Politicians

The crimes by loan apps have spiked exceedingly in recent times. The loan recovery agents harassing common people for loan recovery is something no one should go through. Unable tolerate this harassment, people have committed suicides as well and we have seen many such incidents in the recent past.

Now these loan apps are targeting politicians but it had an anti-climax. Going into details, Cherukuri Sankaraiah, the personal assistant of AP Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy received tens of calls from a loan recovery agent. The agent claimed that Sankaraiah’s number was given by the person who borrowed Rs 8 Lakh. Threatened by the calls, Sankaraiah paid Rs 25,000 even though he was nowhere involved in taking the loan. Yet the calls from loan recovery agents haven’t stopped.

Former minister Anil Kumar Yadav also faced a similar situation. Interestingly the recovery agent directly called the ex-minister Anil and he denied knowing any person who took the loan. But the recovery agent was least bothered about Anil’s arguments. The audio involving MLA Anil and recovery agent is out and we can hear Anil losing his cool while speaking to the lady.

On the other hand, Sankaraiah was vexed with the continuous calls from the loan recovery agent. He took the issue to the notice of Minister Kakani and immediately Nellore SP was informed. A team was formed to trace the roots of this crime and in the investigation, they unearthed the people behind it.

The police arrested four people from Chennai and they added that the recovery agents are using a special software to call the people continuously and harass them. Shockingly big name advocates have reached out to the police for bail petition of the arrested.

This whole episode looks like a big conspiracy and might have involvement of big names. Common man gets hundreds of such calls daily and their initial reaction would be that they feel threatened. Only marginal people approach the police against recovery agents harassment.

In the case of politicians, take this case of a current minister and the other being a former, the police swung into action in no time and arrested the people. Not just arresting the agents, the police probed how this mafia is operating using the latest technology. So one should never mess with politicians but the common man needs to be aware.
