TDP Finds A Lady To Take On Kodali Nani?

Politics are unpredictable. They change with time and situations. Politicians should be aware of the changes taking place rapidly and lay steps to keep themselves among people. Despite working hard and having a decent following among the people, it is a mistake to expect favourable results. Former minister and YCP firebrand leader Kodali Nani is in a similar situation at the moment, says the TDP insiders.

Gudivada is Kodali Nani’s fort. Any wave (political) will have zero influence and come what may be the circumstances, Kodali wins here effortlessly, is what the impression has in the general public. But as politics are unpredictable, TDP is hatching strategies to dismantle the fort of Kodali in Gudivada.

Ironically TDP doesn’t have a face to take on Kodali. In the 2019 elections Devineni Avinash contested against Kodali. But Devineni nowhere matched Kodali and YCP’s wave and now Devineni Avinash is in YCP and TDP has no proper candidate. Raavi Venkateswara Rao is the in-charge of Gudivada TDP but doesn’t have the stature to take on Kodali.

Reading the political equations of Gudivada TDP, chief Chandrababu Naidu is moving forward strategically not only in terms of social class, but also in terms of sentiment. And TDP found a person who really can make Kodali sweat in the next polls.

The person is Chalasani Smitha. She is the daughter of Chalasani Pandu who was reckoned as a political guru of Krishna district politics. Chalasani Pandu is a senior leader of TDP from Penamalur constituency but he is no more. As the successor to Pandu, Devineni Smitha’s name surfaced and she planned to contest from her father’s constituency as well. But upon Nara Lokesh’s instructions, Smitha is likely to be shifted to Gudivada.

TDP is analyzing that Smitha can definitely put checkmate to Kodali Nani in Gudivada. Kamma community, a woman and Chalasani followers are some of the aspects that may work in TDP’s favour. Simultaneously, there are casino allegations against Kodali and he carries a negative impression among women voters of the constituency.

Gudivada will draw a lot of eyes in 2024.
