Pawan Kalyan To Play Safe With Pithapuram?

In the 2019 elections, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan contested at two places i.e, Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka. It was the first time that Pawan forayed into the poll battle but he could not win and it disappointed his fans and Jana Sena supporters.

The next elections are two years away and there is a huge anticipation among Jana Sena folks in the constituency that Pawan would contest. Insiders reveal that Pawan will not contest from Gajuwaka or Bhimavaram for unknown reasons and he would certainly pick a new place.

The latest development is that the Jana Sena political committee has advised Pawan to contest from Pithapuram of Kakinada district. This place has a good vote bank of the Kapu community and the Powerstar fan base is huge. However the Pithapuram Jana Sena cadre is struggling with internal wars but local leaders assured that if Pawan Kalyan contests from here, they would work collectively for the victory of their chief.

Meanwhile, YCP began its work even before Pawan made up his mind to contest from Pithapuram. Apparently Jagan and YCP have vowed not to let Pawan enter the AP Assembly, in a way they want to defeat him in the next polls as well. Accordingly the Kapu Nestam third installment program was held in Pithapuram and at this event, CM Jagan showered many soaps for the Kapu community.

Like never before, Jagan’s speech at this event drew the attention of the Kapu community and following this program, YCP estimates that its image has improved in Pithapuram. With the same enthusiasm, local MLA Dorababu Pendem is actively taking part in the ‘Gadapa – Gadapaku YCP’ program.

But Pithapuram has a history of strange political events. In 2014, independent candidate SVSN Varma was elected and later he joined the TDP. Though Varma managed to get a ticket in 2019, he lost to Dorababu mainly due to YCP’s wave. The other strange thing is that the party that wins at Pithapuram doesn’t form a government in the state yet this jinx was deceived in 2019 by the YCP.

Summing up all Pithapuram will have eyes on it in 2024.
