Social media’s role in politics is significant. Every political party in the country has its own social media army and IT Cell mainly to reach out to more people and then counter the opposition. In Andhra Pradesh, YCP is gearing up for big plans in view of the 2024 elections.
Accordingly the YCP plans to have a social media army at every village across the state. Following this decision, the YCP has appointed social media coordinators. Every district has a new social media coordinator and coordinators will also represent from every Assembly constituency and every village.
These appointments of social media coordinators are yet to be given a task. From YCP insiders we hear that coordinators will work extensively to take the party’s welfare schemes, goals and future plans to the people.
Social media coordinator for every village is a big sketch from YCP but it is mainly to target the Telugu Desam which already has a massive social media army compared to the ruling party.
Yet the social media army doesn’t work on ground level. Addressing public concerns timely and effectively matters the most and people do vote for those parties that really resolve the problems of people.
