Ever since Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Telugu actor Jr NTR, there have been reports on the reunion of Telugu Desam and BJP. Post this meeting national media carried out reports like Chandrababu will be meeting BJP leaders in Delhi in the coming days and it’s just a matter of time. If things fall in place, BJP and TDP will contest in alliance in 2024 in the Telugu states, reported the national media.
Responding to these reports Telangana BJP leader and MP Laxman ruled out the possibility of TDP and BJP reunion. “They are just reports and there is nothing truth in them. As Telangana BJP, we will contest alone in all the 119 Assembly segments. In the south, after Karnataka, we are confident of forming a government in Telangana,” said Laxman.
Laxman also gave clarity on AP BJP’s affairs. “In Andhra, we will contest with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena. We will cash in on the anti-incumbency of YCP government and become a strong force irrespective of Telugu Desam” added Laxman.
The BJP MP found fault with CPM which extended support to the TRS in Munugode by-election. “Communist parties have lost their credibility and they should remember KCR’s words who once called CPI and CPM, tail-enders,” stated Laxman.
T-BJP is in no mood to patch up with Telugu Desam while the leaders are willing to take a solo fight against the TRS government. Many T-BJP leaders expressed the same confidence in the 2018 polls.
