KCR’s BRS With Jagan, Naidu, Pawan or Left?

TRS chief KCR will be floating his national political party (BRS) on October 5th. KCR’s exercise for the same has been wrapped up with a meeting held on Sunday. At this meeting TRS party seniors and representatives met KCR and held one final round of discussion. But KCR’s plans after floating the national party are yet to be known.

TRS insiders say that KCR will be going for a solo fight rather than teaming up with various national and regional political parties across the country. On that note, there is a discussion surrounding the political equations with political parties of Andhra Pradesh.

Who did KCR approach so far in AP? With the ruling party in AP, TRS chief is maintaining good rapport despite some disturbances here and there. But it is unclear whether KCR consulted YS Jagan with a proposal to join hands for the national party. In the past KCR reached out to Jagan but the talks did not progress after that.

And with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, KCR would never ally because of the political rivalry. KCR will not consider this option at any cost, say the TRS insiders. In the case of Pawan Kalyan led Jana Sena, there are less chances.

Currently Jana Sena is with BJP in AP. In the recent past the BJP leaders reiterated that they will contest the 2024 elections in alliance with Jana Sena and both the parties are pretty confident on the same. KCR wants to move away from parties that are associated with the BJP and so he may not prefer to approach or talk with Jana Sena.

The last option here is Communist Parties. Though the Left parties have almost vanished in AP, their minimal presence will have negligible impact over the dominant parties like YCP, TDP. But Left parties can never be underestimated and they can play an influential role during the polls. Also Left parties who are looking for a revival option and hell bent against the BJP, may walk with KCR, if the TRS supremo is willing.

Besides these political parties, KCR is looking at the farmers associations. Having announced free electricity to the agriculture sector, KCR is assuming that this will be his trump card and also the metres to the farming motors. KCR is opposing this metre sanction from the BJP government while the YCP government is implementing it to get benefits from Delhi.
