There is a dialog war happening between the TRS party and Telangana BJP for some time now. Not just on the global pandemic Covid-19, the BJP is countering the ruling party on every issue from demolition of Secretariat to water logging at Osmania hospital.
But in an embarrassment to the Telangana BJP, the Union Jal Shakti Ministry has come up with a report in which Telangana showed promising results. It is about the tap water connection and Telangana has 98.31 percent of connections.
The data released by the ministry stated that Telangana has 54,37,739 households while the number of households with tap connection is 53,45,962 which is about 98.31 percent. The data reveals that the Telangana is the only state in the country with 90 percent tap connections whereas the BJP ruled states like Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh have 73.85 percent, 28.94 percent, 18.35 percent and 4.49 percent respectively.
Minister KTR took to his Twitter handle and wrote, that it is the vision of Telangana CM KCR as part of Mission Bhagiratha. “Govt of India’s Ministry of Jal Shakti reports; Telangana is the leader with 98.31% tap connections providing potable drinking water under the pioneering #MissionBhagiratha. Kudos to Hon’ble CM Sri KCR’s vision & diligent efforts of team RWS on this fabulous achievement,” tweeted KTR.
Coming to Andhra Pradesh, 34.62 percent households have tap connection.
