Kanna Lakshminarayana is all set to join Janasena, if reports are anything to go by. Kanna has called on his close aides and followers to discuss his future course of action. He has convened meeting with his loyalists and expected to take a final call on leaving the BJP for greener pastures.
Kanna, who has been upset with BJP’s state leadership and is tight lipped on the developments, has busted out his anger openly. Kanna openly admitted that the BJP’s AP leadership has failed to walk hand-in-hand with Pawan. He said BJP acted in late even after Pawan Kalyan’s call to unite opposition and the opportunity went to TDP and Chandrababu.
Kanna made these comments taking a dig at the present AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju. He said he has made these comments internally but finally now opening up about AP BJP’s state leadership failures.
It is strongly buzzed that Kanna wants to shift from BJP to Janasena. It is heard that Kanna’s entry got the nod from Pawan Kalyan and Nadendla Manohar. Kanna’s entry into Janasena is expected to take place very soon, say political experts.
Kanna had played a crucial role in Congress during the YSR regime. He also served as minister. After state bifurcation, Kanna remained politically inactive. Though he had got a call from YSRCP, Kanna had joined the BJP since he was made the party chief in AP. Later, he was replaced by Somu Veerraju. The move had disappointed Kanna and his followers. With this, Kanna seems to have made his plans already.
It can be noted that Kanna hails from Kapu community. This is an advantage for him if he joins Janasena. Kanna had served as 5-time MLA from Pedakurupadu in Guntur district. Kanna’s joining would strengthen Pawan’s Janasena particularly.
