The poaching attempt of TRS MLAs has created a huge sensation not just in Telugu states but country wide. The national media is widely reporting this episode and this is doing a lot of damage for the BJP even though the party claims they are nowhere involved in luring the TRS MLAs.

However, the TRS gained upper hand in this episode and its IT cell has been doing an unprecedented campaign on social media against the BJP. The TRS supporters are widely using the hashtag #TelanganaNotForSale and are commenting their opinions, views and also criticism on the BJP.

Some TRS supporters commented that this is not Karnataka, Goa, this is Telangana which is KCR’s den and BJP can’t stand KCR’s mark of politics. Another sector of TRS supporters hailed the four MLAs to the sky for not getting tempted to Rs 100 crore which is a lot of money. 

There were memes on this episode as well and TRS supporters trolled BJP National President Amit Shah. ‘Transaction Failed’ was one of the memes that is being circulated by the TRS supporters and a few dragged Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who fumbled while announcing GTS on horse-racing.

On the contrary, the BJP IT cell has gone silent. BJP has a huge social media army compared to any other political party in the country. But in this episode, the BJP is lagging behind and is unable to counter the TRS campaign.
