Varanasi: Is Rajamouli Not Standing by His Word?

Fans are always excited when their favourite hero announces a film with SS Rajamouli. But that excitement also comes with a little fear. Rajamouli is known for taking several years to complete his films. His films generally take more than two years to reach theatres. As a result, fans worry that they will have to wait for a long time to see their favourite heroes on the silver screen again.

However Mahesh Babu fans had a different hope with Varanasi. Rajamouli repeatedly assured them that he would complete the film within the planned schedule. He also multiple times made it clear that there would be no change in the release plan. This made Mahesh fans believe that Rajamouli was serious about keeping his promise this time for Varanasi.

But the latest reports are once again creating doubts about his words. According to recent reports, Varanasi may not arrive on its earlier planned release date. The makers are reportedly looking at August as a possible new release window. An official announcement about the revised release date is expected soon.

Though Rajamouli and the team have already given several clarifications about the release rumours, these reports about a possible postponement continue to make headlines. Meanwhile, April 7 release would be important for the film to secure its IMAX window. If the team misses this opportunity then getting the desired IMAX screens could become difficult.

But the latest reports suggest that pending VFX work could also be one of the reasons behind the possible delay. However nothing has been officially confirmed by the makers yet.

If the postponement reports turn out to be true then it will once again raise questions about Rajamouli’s promise to complete the film on time. Fans trusted his repeated assurances and expected Varanasi to follow a different schedule from his previous films. So at least this time will Rajamouli stand by his word or not, have to be seen.
