Ever since the notification for Munugode by-election was announced, this place has been hosting huge liquor and food gatherings. In fact liquor is overflowing in Munugode yet the Election Commission has turned blind eye and left the political parties freely to influence the voters.
But with last week’s events, the tables have turned upside down. The TRS is in front to win at Munugode while the BJP is lagging behind and its candidate Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy has become a scapegoat before the Delhi BJP leaders.
Yet the BJP hasn’t given up on Mungode and accordingly the party is trying its best to woo the voters. In that line, the party is allegedly said to be distributing one Thola of Gold to every household and a picture of the same has surfaced on social media.
A Gold coin wrapped up in a small plastic bag that has PM Narendra Modi’s photo is getting widely circulated and that sums up how expensive is the Munugode by-election.
Previously Huzurabad was reckoned as the most expensive by-election in India and now, Munugode has gone past it.
It’s a total disrespect to India’s electoral process and it’s time for voters to make a wise choice in electing their true leader.
