HC Squashed YCP’s Petition Against Amaravati Farmers

AP CM YS Jagan led YCP government has been creating all sorts of hurdles for Amaravati farmers who are on Paadayatra. Unable to stop the farmers, the YCP government approached the AP High Court and urged the court to intervene in the Paadayatra program.

In a big setback to the YCP government, the AP High Court has squashed the petition of the AP government and added that there is no change in the previous orders. The court said that the police department led by AP DGP are responsible for issuing identity cards to farmers who are staging this Maha Paadayatra.

“Only farmers with valid identity cards should take part in Paadayatra while people/farmers without ID cards can extend their solidarity to the farmers. The police are also responsible for ensuring the Paadayatra is progressing smoothly without any hassle,” said the court.

While this is a relief for the Amaravati farmers, the AP High Court pronounced that the AP DGP is free to take a call on cancelling the Paadayatra if the farmers have violated any of the terms.

With Amaravati farmers’ Paadayatra getting a decent feedback from the public, the YCP government is hatching various plans in support of ‘Three Capitals.’ A million march kind of event is likely to be held in Kurnool and will soon be finalised.
