High Tension In Nandigama: Chandrababu Attacked, CSO Injured

TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s Nandigama tour has heated up Andhra politics. According to the latest reports, the former chief minister’s Chief Security Officer Madhu Babu has sustained injuries when an unidentified person hurled a stone at Chandrababu’s convoy during the ‘Baadude Baadude’ protest road show in NTR District this evening.

Reports say that Madhu Babu has sustained a deep injury below his chin. He was immediately administered first-aid by the doctors, and his condition is said to be stable. Power supply was reportedly disconnected during the attack. Following the attack, Chandrababu lashed out at the police personnel for the lackluster security measures during his road show.

In a sharp counter, a furious Chandrababu called the opposition party leaders as “YCP Goondas”and said that he does not fear such intimidating tactics. Earlier today, police had directed the TDP leaders to conclude the road show at the earliest and this led to an intense altercation between the TDP leaders and the police.

Additional police forces were deployed to control the crowd after villagers and party workers turned up in huge numbers. Chandrababu’s vehicle was surrounded by policemen.
