Ramesh Hospital Row: AP HC Corners YCP Govt

The Ramesh hospital row is turning into a big issue and now it has reached the AP High Court. The hospital founder Dr. Ramesh has approached the High Court and filed a quash petition. Apart from the quash, Dr. Ramesh has also applied for a stay on his arrest.

Taking up the case, the High Court has shot many questions at the YSRCP government. “It was the government that gave permission to convert the Swarna Palace into Covid-19 centre. The hotel has been lying in the same place for years. If a mishap has occurred, it is only the responsibility of the officials who gave the permission,” said the court.

Further the court questioned “Will the government file a case against the district Collector, Joint Collector and DMHO for their negligence in issuing the orders to the hotel to convert into Covid-19 centre?”

The advocate on behalf of the government informed the High Court that the case is in progress. After the government’s reply, the High Court issued interim orders from arresting Dr. Ramesh and taking any action against the hospital.
