Chai With Mom, Modi’s Videos Go Viral

For the past few days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been camping in Gujarat to campaign for the BJP ahead of the general elections. And today, Modi visited his mother Heeraben Modi at her home in Gandhinagar and took her blessings ahead of the second phase of the Gujarat elections.

Several videos of Modi and his mother having chai have been going viral on social media since Sunday afternoon. A couple of days ago, videos of Modi’s convoy giving way to an ambulance during his campaign also created a lot of noise on social media. While die-hard Modi fans called it a touching gesture, many called it a pre-planned publicity stunt.

Modi, along with Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Bhupendra Bhai Patel, will be voting on Monday. The second and last phase of Gujarat elections will conclude tomorrow and the counting of votes will be held on December 8. Amid an intense anti-incumbency and AAP’s entry, these elections are quite crucial to the BJP.
