TDP MP Ticket To YSRCP Leader?

There needs no introduction for former DL Ravindra Reddy. He played his part in erstwhile AP and Congress but lagged the race in recent years. Hailing from Kadapa, DL comes before the media once in a while and his words contain more analysis than political criticism.

Seems like DL Ravindra Reddy has turned into another Raghu Ramakrishna Raju. Being in YCP, Ravindra Reddy criticises AP CM YS Jagan and the other day he stated that AP will progress only under TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s able leadership. He predicted that YCP may confine to single digit in the 2024 elections and there are high chances of TDP and Jana Sena reuniting.

The YCP believes that there is a reason why Ravindra Reddy is speaking in the language of TDP and it is he might contest from TDP in the next elections. Buzz is that he also spoke to party chief Chandrababu regarding the same. TDP insiders also believe that there might be truth in this argument of YCP.

It is said that Ravindra Reddy, who won six times as an MLA from Maidukuru constituency from 1978 to 2009, asked for the ticket for the same seat. Though Chandrababu did not assure him anything, the former gave a twist/offer to contest anywhere from Rayalaseema region for the Lok Sabha.

Chandrababu informed Ravindra Reddy that he has no objection to allocate Lok Sabha ticket which falls in joint Kadapa district. The rumour is that Ravindra Reddy accepted this offer reluctantly.

However, Ravindra Reddy is still in YCP and did not leave the party officially. But he speaks more like a TDP spokesperson and YCP suggests that people might have come to an understanding by now regarding Ravindra Reddy’s set of circumstances.
