Gali Janardhan Reddy Launches Own Political Party!

Karnataka mining baron and politician Gali Janardhan Reddy has launched his own political party. Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha (KRPP), which translates to Development State Oriented Party. His party is going to contest the direct elections. He is going to contest from Gangavathi assembly constituency in Koppal in the coming assembly elections.

Gali Janardhan Reddy had served as minister in the BJP government. He had great support in the party when Sushma Swaraj was there. But things had changed. Gali had faced tough times both outside and inside the party.

12 years after he was named in the illegal mining, Gali Janardhan Reddy had returned to politics. With BJP turned down his requests to reinduct him, Gali launched his own party. He has good dominance politically in Bellary and other constituencies.

Gali Janardhan Reddy stated that the illegal mining case had defamed him. But Gali claimed he had done legal mining and provided employment to over 5000 people. According to Gali, he was approached by Amit Shah to support Sriramulu and Yeddyurappa in the 2018 polls. But Gali said he was continuously troubled by the central investigation agencies even when BJP was in power at both centre and state.

Gali said he had not invited any of his close friends and senior politicians in BJP to join his party. He, however, made it very clear that his party is not to divide votes and help the BJP. Gali said those who know him well are aware of his straight-forwarded nature and he was never part of such adjustment politics. Gali is quite confident of making a victorious debut in the elections with his party KRPP.
