Man Who Hit Vishnu With Slipper To Get TDP Ticket?

Social media is abuzz that Kolikipudi Srinivas Rao, who is associated with the TDP unofficially, would be given the party ticket from Nandigama. There is talk that TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu also had given nod to this move. However, there has been no official confirmation about this so far.

Significantly, the TDP has complete hold on Nandigama constituency. Having obtained a Ph.D from Hyderabad Central University, Kolikipudi is running an IAS coaching centre.

He had actively participated in the Amaravati Udyamam and continues to be the voice of the farmers. He takes part in many TV shows and shot to fame after-hitting BJP leader Vishnuvardhan Reddy with footwear on a live show.

It is being said that TDP ticket aspirant Tangirala Soumya would be kept aside and the ticket would be given to Kolikipudi. Naidu believes that Kolikipudi is the right candidate to contest against sitting MLA and YCP leader Mondithoka Jaganmohan Rao.

The TDP is of the opinion that Kolikipudi is an out-going person and would counter the criticism by the YCP leaders effectively.

Kolikipudi has the wit to convince the public and moreover, there is a belief that all the Amaravati farmers would vote for him. In fact, Kolikipudi became famous after taking part in political debates on TV every morning.
