Polavaram project is the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. However the previous and current governments have failed to meet its deadline of completion. In a big statement, BRS minister C Malla Reddy added that if BRS is voted to power in Andhra, Polavaram project will be completed at war-footing like Kaleshwaram project.
“In the last eight years, Telangana has progressed beyond expectations and it is done under the leadership of Telangana CM KCR. BRS is receiving positive feedback from all over the country. In Andhra Pradesh, our party will contest in all the 175 segments and if voted to power, we will complete the Polavaram dam,” said Malla Reddy.
The BRS minister also raked up the issue of ‘Special Category Status’ and assured that it would be implemented, if BRS is given the power. “Schemes like Dalit Bandhu, 24 hours electricity to agriculture have attracted people of AP. We are confident of contesting all the places in AP and I hope we would win,” added Malla Reddy.
These are ambitious expectations from BRS minister Malla Reddy. Amidst the minister’s comments, several leaders from Guntur region are on the way to Hyderabad and they are expected to take up the BRS flag. Former IAS officer Thota Chandrasekhar and Ravela Kishore will be joining BRS in the presence of chief KCR.
