Nara Lokesh is all set to begin his padayatra – ‘Yuva Galam’ from 27th Jan. In this Padayatra, Lokesh has planned to conduct public meetings and roadshows and address gatherings. Lokesh and TDP seniors had planned to do one public meeting of Lokesh in every constituency. While TDP leaders are busy chalking out the route map for the yatra and want the locals youths to voice out in Lokesh’s meetings and hence called as ‘Yuva Galam’, here comes the major hurdle. The Andhra Pradesh government has banned the public meetings and roadshows in the state.
Given the recent incidents of stampedes and loss of lives, the AP government has cracked its whip on the Opposition and its roadshows, public meetings, albeit indirectly. Now, the TDP is struggling to get police permission for Chandrababu’s meetings and shows. Police are booking cases against TDP leaders accusing them of holding meetings without prior permission from the police department. In this background, Lokesh’s Yuva Galam is likely to be targeted for sure. TDP netas have big plans for this padayatra and are supposed to be a gamechanger for Lokesh’s political career by bringing him closer to masses and youths.
Whereas the ground situation and prevailing conditions in the state are totally different. We have to see how Lokesh would overcome these hurdles and begin his Yuva Galam from Kuppam.
