Telangana TDP: All Eyes On Nizamabad

The Telugu Desam party has sped up its political activities in the Telugu states. Chandrababu has aggressively bypassed the government restrictions in AP and now he is planning a series of programs to assert his power in Telangana as well.

The success of Khammam suggested that TDP is still alive in Telangana and so in that line, the party is planning another event in Nizamabad which is located in North Telangana. Preparatory works are underway for a huge public meeting and the TDP estimates to have at least a lakh people for this gathering. Very soon the date for this public meeting will be finalised and TDP sources say that it will happen in the last week of January.

For the Nizamabad meeting, a wide range discussion will be held by the local leaders. They are also preparing to invite those who left TDP to other parties and might offer them posts and tickets in the polls. Telangana TDP President Kasani Gnaneshwar has already met with the key leaders of the Nizamabad Parliamentary Constituency. After Nizamabad, Kasani says that they are planning huge meetings with Chandrababu in Warangal and Mahbubnagar.

Meanwhile, TDP seniors from Telangana like Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy are standing by Kasani and making plans to strengthen the party again. This has brought a panic mode in Telangana Congress and BRS camps. After the formation of Telangana, the majority of the TDP leaders joined the two parties. Now the Congress and BRS are worried that if TDP regains glory, the leaders would return from where they left.
