In an unusual incident Vizag North MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao met TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh in Hyderabad. This meeting was completely unexpected by the TDP cadre and it drew a lot of attention. This meeting lasted for nearly 40 minutes.
Ganta has been maintaining distance from TDP for a long time. In fact there were reports that Ganta will be joining YCP in December but that it did not happen due to unknown reasons. Now all of a sudden he met Nara Lokesh and discussed the latest political developments related to Andhra Pradesh.
Post TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s meeting, the political scenario has drastically changed in AP. Many sitting YCP MLAs are openly expressing their displeasure against the party leadership. Speculations were rife that the former Home Minister might quit YCP in case her husband joins TDP.
Then the Kapu community factor. Sensing this fast changing political equation, Ganta reached out to Nara Lokesh and talked about his future political discourse. Some TDP insiders informed that Ganta only met Lokesh to wish him luck as the latter will be embarking a Paadayatra later this month.
