KTR Set Up IT Rajyam In Telangana: Malla Reddy

Labour minister Ch. Malla Reddy was all praises for Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K.T. Rama Rao. While speaking in the House, Malla Reddy said that people had seen Lord Rama in pictures only and heard of Rama Rajyam ruled by the Lord through stories. “But in Telangana, the credit for establishing the IT Rajyam goes to our Taraka Ramudu,” he said.

To this, KTR, sitting in the bench before that of Malla Reddy, was seen to be grinning, covering his face with his fist while the BRS legislators responded with a huge round of applause. Probably, KTR could be hiding his face which was illuminating with content following the minister’s sycophancy. Throughout his speech, BRS legislators encouraged Malla Reddy raising their voice in support of the minister.

Malla Reddy also said that KTR helped him a lot with his work relating to IT. “Both of our ministries are related. He looks into industries and I into the factories and so he helped me a lot. Thank you for that,” he told KTR.

Hyderabad is IT hub

At one point of time, IT meant Bengaluru but now, the happening place for the sector is Hyderabad. The Opposition leaders keep asking what did KTR bring going to Davos. “It is we who did everything right from laying the foundation. You did not do like we did. During your rule, it was only scams but under our rule, it is all schemes” Reddy said. Soon, the entire House cheered, in support of Malla Reddy’s choice of rhyming words.

“Going to Davos, KTR brought thousands of crores to Telangana. Thousands of crores are being invested in Hyderabad on a daily basis.”

In his usual style, Malla Reddy continued with his aggressive speech and asserted that none of the IT ministers in the remaining 28 states in the country had gone to other countries and successfully convinced MNCs to set up shop in their places like KTR. “I am challenging you to prove if I am wrong,” he told the BJP and Congress leaders, sitting in the Opposition benches.

Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft and other IT giants are looking towards Hyderabad after establishing offices in their headquarters, he said, to which there was another huge round of applause. All the credit goes to our Ramanna, he said.

The IT industry provided employment to lakhs of youths and also labourers, he said and criticized the Opposition parties for not providing employment to the people which forced many to migrate to nearby cities.

“During their rule, there was no power which led to closure of industries and shortage of irrigation water but the BJP claims to have helped the country switch to auto mode.”

In the past, KTR himself gave the credit for sowing the IT seeds and providing the necessary ecosystem for the IT sector to TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu. KTR said that it was not the TRS but Naidu who developed the IT industry in Hyderabad, while speaking in the same House, reminded a BJP leader.
