Ground set to arrest kavitha?

Last week the CBI and ED have arrested former auditor of BRS MlC Kalvakuntla Kavitha Rao, Butchibabu Gorantla and YSRCP MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy’s son Magunta Raghava Reddy in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam. The ED in its supplementary charge-sheet mentioned Kavitha’s name too.

The latest buzz from Delhi is that the CBI is likely to serve notices to Kavitha again and this time the probe agency is likely to call her to the national capital. If Kavitha doesn’t cooperate, the CBI might arrest her as well. Previously CBI questioned Kavitha as a witness for seven hours in December. Later CBI expedited the probe and during the course of investigation arrested Abhishek Boinapally Aurobindo Sarath Chandra Reddy.

But following the arrest of Magunta Raghava Reddy, the ED in its remand report mentioned the name of Kavitha and there are speculations that she might be served notices again. These arrests of the probe agencies brought headaches for Kavitha.

On Sunday, MLC Kavitha met her brother KTR in the Assembly lobby and both reportedly discussed the liquor scam arrests. For now Kavitha is in wait and watch mode for CBI and ED’s next moves in the scam.
