Among the non-BJP ruling states in the country, Andhra Pradesh is the only state where the state government is maintaining cordial relations with the Governor. However Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan was recently transferred to Chhattisgarh and earlier in the day, he vacated the Raj Bhavan.
On Tuesday, CM Jagan led YCP government held a grand farewell for Governor Biswabhushan. On this occasion, Biswabhushan termed AP as his second home. On Wednesday Biswabhushan flew to Raipur and CM Jagan personally gave a send off to the Governor. At Gannavaram airport, CM Jagan received the Governor and thanking him, Jagan bent down and touched the feet of Biswabhushan displaying his respect.
This picture and video of CM Jagan taking the blessings of Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan stormed the internet. Probably Jagan was thankful to Governor Biswabhushan for not creating any hurdles for the YCP government and at the farewell event, Jagan praised the Governor to the sky.
“Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan brought more decorum and dignity to the Governor post by facilitating utmost coordination between various constitutional bodies,” stated CM Jagan.
Supreme Court former Justice Abdul Nazeer has been appointed as the new Governor of AP and he will be taking charge of the office of Raj Bhavan on February 24th.
