Coming Soon – Namasthe Andhra Pradesh from BRS

Indian politics have undergone a huge change and just people’s support is not sufficient for the political parties these days. It’s the media’s backing that is most important and so over the last decade and half years many political parties have established their own media groups.

Telangana CM KCR who set his eyes on national politics wants to make in-roads to AP politics. After inducting ex-IAS officer Thota Chandrasekhar, BRS is silently working on expansion. Now BRS is going aggressively and accordingly the party is set to launch a newspaper in AP.

With the name ‘Namsthe Andhra Pradesh’ BRS will establish its own media outlet in AP. That way BRS wants to reach out to get a positive impact and image among the people of Andhra. How far this strategy will work is something very sceptical.

Nonetheless what will be the agenda of ‘Namsthe Andhra Pradesh’ newspaper? Will it report against the YCP government and AP CM YS Jagan Reddy? If this happens the bonhomie between KCR and Jagan will fall apart and that would yet again lead to unnecessary confrontations between the Telugu states. In AP, pro-TDP and pro-YCP media is always at loggerheads and if ‘Namasthe Andhra Pradesh’ joins them, the media will lose its credibility which is already low given the image ‘Namasthe Telangana’ has in Telangana state.
